Watch "The Queen of Her Students' Hearts", a profile of faculty member Carole Levin.
The medieval and renaissance period profoundly impacted and currently dominate our culture's literature, philosophy, art, religion and politics. Studying the ideas of that period gives us a clearer understanding of our present world.
Our faculty come from a variety of disciplines including Art History, Classics and Religious Studies, English, Foreign Languages, History, Music History and Theatre.
We offer undergraduate and graduate programs, a lecture series with faculty and student speakers from our university and others, an undergraduate contest for research essays and creative projects, the Robert Knoll graduate award for the best research essay, and the Paul A. Olson travel awards for graduate research trips. We also hold an end-of-year event celebrating student accomplishment.
