Cindy Ermus is the Charles and Linda Wilson Associate Professor in the History of Medicine and Director of the Humanities in Medicine program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

A historian of early modern Europe, she has published books and articles in the history of epidemics and other crises in 18th-century France and the Atlantic World. Her courses include Early Modern Europe, The French Revolution, Epidemics in History, and Women in Early Modern Europe. In 2023, she was elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
